Thanks to infamous leaker @masterchefian, we now have the clearest look yet at three colorways of the Powerpuff Girls x Nike SB Dunk Low colorway.
The leak shows three versions corresponding to the color scheme of each Powerpuff Girls member, complete with a pair of cartoonish eyes on the back tab.
There is currently no other information related to the release.
Images of the previously rumored Nike SB x Powerpuff Girls collaboration have now been released, confirming the existence of a pack honoring the cult cartoon show.
The Powerpuff Girls is part of Cartoon Network’s early shows and tells the story of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, who, as the title suggests, all have powers that help them protect their city of Townsville. In the series, the girls fight all kinds of super villains, often pitting them against the evil Monkey Mojo Jojo.
Although the original Powerpuff Girls series ended in 2004, the show still has a fan base and, more importantly, holds a special place in the hearts of millennials and early Gen Z, making Nike a leader in pop culture during its time. I joined SB.
With the help of @jfgrails we now take a look at the format the collaboration will follow. It’s complimented by a titular group-inspired suede construction, character eyes on the heel tab, contrasting Swooshes and a special collaboration tongue tag.
There are also rumors going around that a Mojo Jojo iteration will be released with the Powerpuff trio.
Cooperation is expected to cease later this year.
