Travis Scott is going to have a busy year in sneakers. A collaboration with Nike Mac Attack has been confirmed for 2023 alone, and rumors abound about an upcoming release. They recently confirmed the release of the Travis Scott x Jordan Cut The Check, which marks their first official signature shoe with Jordan Brand. However, the Houston rapper will also be linking up with Nike to release another signature shoe called the Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon. Today we bring you exclusive details on another of his signature sneakers.
So far, two versions of the Jordan Cut The Check signature shoe have been confirmed. While some outlets are seeing this as another iteration, we have confirmation from our sources that this shoe will be their first signature with Nike Sportswear.
Travis and Nike looked to shoes of the past for inspiration for the Sharkidon, borrowing the midsole from the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon, which first released in 1997. If you look closely, you can see shark teeth added to the midsole. The upper is made of smooth, crinkled leather and fine, perforated mesh. The tongue also features exposed foam, and a midfoot strap is added for a trainer vibe. One of the first colorways to leak features a mixture of white and mocha, Travis Scott’s favorite color palette. Additionally, Nike has confirmed that it plans to release multiple colorways throughout 2024.
The Travis Scott x Nike Sharkidon is expected to release in Summer 2024 at select retailers and Nike.com. Retail price is currently unknown. We will update as more information and additional colorways become available. For now, check out the larger photos below.
